Wool prep…
June 5th, 2008 by Toni
Slowly working on things…
During some naps last week, I began to flick open the wool locks of the orange and yellow fleece (Frannie’s fleece from http://www.homesteadwoolandgiftfarm.com/). This will help the batt making go smoother. Here is some of the yellow in before and after stages…it gets so fluffy!

I also recieved 6 lbs of wool from Sue on Ebay at http://myworld.ebay.com/etheteowl/.* She is a wonderful, sweet lady that sells amazingly soft rambouillet wool (at crazy good starting auction prices!). I purchased a couple pounds of each in white, light grey and charcoal grey…some for personal use some for business…so look forward to getting some yummy soft ramboulliet batts! I haven’t really had the opportunity to play with it much so no photos yet. I’ve only washed a small amount from each and need to get the rest of it washed up so I can get it in the dye pots soon! So pics and more praise to come later =) *(Hmm, I see that she doesn’t have any fleeces listed at the moment but for anyone interested, it is definitely worth it to contact her to find out if she has any fleeces to be listed soon b/c she recently had the girls shorn!)
Well, that’s all of the fiber content I have, so I’ll end with a gratuitous baby photo:
